About the event
The 2024 Mansion Sports Hanoi Open Pool Championship concluded after five thrilling days of competition from October 10-15, with the Philippines' number one player Johann Chua being crowned champion after defeating "Prince of Pool" Ko Pin-yi from Taiwan during the finals.
The anticipated event attracted top players from across the globe to battle for the grand prize of $200,000. As the Main Sponsor, Mansion Sports proved that the prestigious tournament was a world-class pool platform for the fans.
Hanoi open 2024 Champion
Johann Chua has been crowned the 2024 Mansion Sports Hanoi Open Pool Champion. This is the first time Johann Chua has won a major individual 9-ball pool tournament, the World Nineball Tour (WNT). After winning the title, the 32-year-old player jumped on the table to celebrate.
Johann Chua received US$30,000 as the tournament's winner, while Runner-up Ko got $15,000. The two third-placed players from the Philippines, Carlo Biado and Jefrey Roda, received $9,500 each. The host's best performer was Nguyen Van Huynh, who received a $2,000 prize for reaching the round of 16.
EFREN REYES SPECIAL APPEARANCE
In light of the event, Mansion Sports Ambassador Efren 'Bata' Reyes was present at the tournament as a special guest. The legendary pool player from the Philippines drew excitement from the crowds at the Hanoi Indoor Games Gymnasium as he conducted exhibition matches and meet-and-greets, with fans stunned to meet with one of the greatest names in the sport.
